Area of Expertise

Stairs, mainly bar counters, light fixtures, outdoor lampposts and furniture from the city of Paris, hence the name of the "Curiosités et Décoration" shop.

What is your background?

I was a sales manager in department stores for 10 years. In my youth I hunted in the beautiful quarquiers and I loved to go for a flea market.

And in 1976 I wanted to settle in flea markets, I started selling on different stands in Montreuil and at the Kremlin Bicetres market. I learned the trade in the field with professionals who taught me the trade. I saw the trade evolve, the flea market grow.

What is your area of expertise? What do you like most about your speciality?

The bar counters for the convivial side, the bar the dream of the man, between friends. The large gates, the lampposts, it's a child's dream to have a large castle, a beautiful place.

Give dream to my visitors. A specialty unique to Saint-Ouen. From the original decoration of the 19th century.

Which piece do you like the most and why?

My favorite piece in the shop: the lamppost from the courtyard of the Louvre in bronze from the Napoleon III era. The esthetics of the piece, the gargoyle at the bottom in head of a dolphin in bonze with its patina and its history.
