Marine painter born in Ars-en-Ré and died in Paris. Pupil and son-in-law of Jules Noël.

Exhibitor at the Paris Salon from 1874. Official painter of the Navy and the Colonies in 1885.

Dated 1874 and located in Brittany.

Wood and gilded stucco frame in fair condition.
